About Us
How I Began
As an owner of two standard poodles I began creating my own stylish show /fur saver collars by repurposing my husbands old military uniforms. I believe in honoring those who have served and incorporate those uniforms history into unique yet practical dog collars. Having so many people request a custom made collar for their own fur babies is how my hobby began.
Making It
Each collar is handmade using the fabric from old BDU's, Charlies and Dress Blues, etc. After deconstructing a uniform I salvage as much as possible to reduce waste. Because each collar is handmade no two collars are exactly alike. Using existing materials reduces waste and contributes to a more sustainable fashion industry. Textile waste is a huge issue and by repurposing I am helping to minimize that waste.
